Community Research Institute wins award
Prestige Awards named Community Research Institute the Corporate Training Company of the Year – South Carolina for 2023-2024.
Community Research Institute, a partnership between the CSU Nielsen College of Business and Abbey Research, provides internships to NCOB students to conduct research about Gen Z students and workers.
CRI has developed training pertaining to working with different generations. Run by Dr. Kristen Donnelly and Dr. Erin Hinson, corporate trainers at Abbey Research, the institute has also partnered with the Charleston Metro Chamber of Commerce.

Jan Joslin has four decades of experience in higher education, working in marketing and communication and student services. In her current position as content director, she serves as editor of CSU Magazine and is the primary writer and editor for the university. Former areas of work included coordinating student activities and new student orientation and serving as the adviser to student media. Prior to higher education, she was as a customer service representative for a global company.
