National recognition highlights CSU’s commitment to preparing students for meaningful work and purposeful lives

Charleston Southern University has been recognized nationally for undergraduate teaching, and its nursing program also earned a place among the nation’s ranked programs in the latest U.S. News & World Report Best Colleges rankings.

Charleston Southern ranks No. 16 among Regional Universities-South for Best Undergraduate Teaching, making CSU the top-ranked private university in South Carolina in the category. The university’s nursing program ranks in the top 25% nationally.

Committed to excellence in the classroom, Charleston Southern has a student-to-faculty ratio of 11:1, and the majority of classes have less than 20 students.

“We want our students to leave Charleston Southern prepared for more—to be equipped for the work they are called to do, formed for the lives they will lead, and grounded in the faith that shapes how they engage the world,” said President B. Keith Faulkner. “This recognition reflects the dedication of our faculty and their commitment to providing an education that challenges students, develops their gifts, and prepares them to make a difference.”

Charleston Southern’s College of Nursing offers a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and a Master of Science in Nursing. The program prepares students for careers in nursing through undergraduate and graduate education grounded in Charleston Southern’s Christian mission.

The U.S. News Best Colleges rankings evaluate more than 1,700 colleges and universities nationwide across measures of academic quality and student outcomes.
