The Charleston Metro Chamber of Commerce named Charleston Southern University 2022 Business of the Year.In accepting the award on the behalf of CSU, Dr. Dondi Costin, president, said, “Being recognized as Business of the Year in a town like Charleston is really a dream come true. Since our beginning, CSU has been intent on serving our community. We feel like God has put us here for a reason. We love the fact that the first word of our name is Charleston. Our graduates go out and change their sphere of influence, many of whom will be right here in Charleston.”
According to the Charleston Metro Chamber of Commerce, the award “recognizes an organization known for long-standing excellence, who has demonstrated business success for 20 plus years and showcases a deep dedication for advancing the business community and Charleston region.”
Jan Joslin has four decades of experience in higher education, working in marketing and communication and student services. In her current position as content director, she serves as editor of CSU Magazine and is the primary writer and editor for the university. Former areas of work included coordinating student activities and new student orientation and serving as the adviser to student media. Prior to higher education, she was as a customer service representative for a global company.
