Students perform at CSO’s 2021 Tour of Homes

By Jenna Johnson | January 4, 2022

A few weeks before Christmas break, students and faculty from Charleston Southern University’s Horton School of Music performed in the 2021 Symphony Tour of Homes. The 24th annual event hosted by the Charleston Symphony Orchestra League is a self-guided tour of five stunning homes on Kiawah Island. Nearly 1,000 tickets were sold.

Dr. Soohyun Yun, director of piano studies and associate professor of piano, said the group enjoyed every moment performing at such extravagant homes at the Ocean Course.

“I’m proud that all my students behaved so professionally, performed beautifully, interacted with people and promoted CSU,” she said. “Many audiences appreciated and were pleased to have us.”

During the tour, guests had the opportunity to shop for one-of-a-kind items and ended their tour with a masterworks style concert.
