U.S. News and World Report names CSU to Best Online Bachelor’s Programs list

U.S. News and World Report has named Charleston Southern University to the Best Online Bachelor’s Programs and Best Online Bachelor’s Programs for Veterans lists for 2018.

Charleston Southern was ranked #35 on Best Online Bachelor’s Programs among nearly 1,500 programs surveyed. The rankings assist adults looking to further their education and improve career-related skills. Charleston Southern University has offered online bachelor’s degree programs since 2010. 

“We are very proud of the distinction of being named to the U.S. News and World Report’s Best Online Bachelor’s Program list again,” said Dr. Marc Embler, assistant vice president for academic affairs. “This is great news for our students and faculty. Our faculty are not only academically credentialed but also have extensive practical experience. This combination gives students the knowledge and skills to prepare them for their chosen careers. It is gratifying for Charleston Southern to be recognized for the hard work and dedication that goes into developing our outstanding online degree programs.”

Anita Narayan, managing editor of education at U.S. News, said, “The top programs not only demonstrate strong academics but also create learning environments that are particularly well-suited to remote students.”

Charleston Southern was ranked #27 on the Best Online Bachelor’s Programs for Veterans list. The list features the best online bachelor’s degree programs that help veterans reduce the cost of school.

CSU participates in the Yellow Ribbon Program and is a Military Friendly School.

Currently there are 370 Veterans at CSU using benefits for their education. Charleston Southern has been providing educational programs and services to military personnel and their families for more than 40 years.
