Move-In
For traditional students living on campus, your CSU experience starts the moment you arrive. New Student Move-In Day makes settling in simple and welcoming, with the CSU community ready to help you get moved in, find your way around, and take your first steps as a Buccaneer.

Campus Ministries

FAQs for Welcome Week
Preparing students for leadership is a part of our vision. There are several conferences and resources that we provide for student leaders in our effort to prepare them for the present and the future.
As a resident, when and where do I arrive on campus?
If you’re moving in to a residence hall, you’ll start following the signs as you enter campus during Student Move-In! This year, we’ll see our newest Buccaneers on Thursday, Aug. 20 from 8 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. Returning Bucs arrive on Saturday, Aug. 22 from 8 a.m. – noon. Staff will be there to answer questions and help you find your residence hall, meeting, or event.
As a commuter, when and where I arrive?
Commuters will pick up Welcome Week materials and have the opportunities to ask questions on Thursday, August. 20 from 5-6:30 at Lightsey Chapel.
What events are required, a must-do, or completely optional?
Everything is important! Other than the obvious Move-In and Check-in times, our newest students shouldn’t miss Welcome Week Worship, New Bucs on the Block, Bucs Kick Off, the Class Picture, Playfair, Silent Disco, Picnic Bingo, Campus Connections, Rec Fest, and Bucky’s Welcome! We also have a night out at the Charleston RiverDogs this year! Returners should participate in all they can, with a RiverDogs night and Returner Kick-Back as our newest additions!
How do I find my class schedule and campus locations?
Your class schedule is available in MyCSU, where you can also see your GPA and course completion during your academic journey at CSU.
Need help finding your classrooms? Visit the Reflection Pond on August 24 or August 25 at 8 a.m. Bring your class schedule, grab a donut, and let our team help you locate your classrooms, navigate campus, and become familiar with important buildings and resources.

Where can I eat during Welcome Week?
The Caf, Chick-fil-A, Buc Stop, The Galley at Russell, The Galley at Wingo, The Galley at Magnolia, and Java City are options all week long. Follow @csudiningservices to stay informed.
How can I make the most of my time at CSU?
Time will fly, so say yes to new experiences, build relationships with classmates and professors, attend every possible campus event, and engage with academic, spiritual, and wellness resources. Welcome Week is just the beginning of your Passport to Purpose as you discover opportunities to learn, lead, and serve. We are so glad you are here!
