Join us for a weekend of connection, Buccaneer spirit, and family fun! Family Weekend is an opportunity to experience campus life, spend quality time with your student, and experience the Charleston Southern community together.
Family Weekend Schedule
Friday, September 18
4:00–7:00 p.m. | Family Weekend Check-In | Student Center
- Pick up your Family Weekend packet, campus map, and event information.
- Receive discount information for participating Charleston attractions and restaurants.
6:00–7:30 p.m. | Family Dinner on the Lawn | Magnolia Lawn
8:00 p.m. | Movie on the Lawn/or Chapel
- Gather for a family-friendly outdoor movie.
- Complimentary popcorn and refreshments will be available.
Saturday, September 19
8:00 a.m. | Buccaneer Family Fun Run/Walk
- Join us for a fun run or leisurely walk around campus.
- Open to participants of all ages and fitness levels.
9:30–11:00 a.m. | Family Brunch | Dining Hall
Enjoy brunch together in the CSU Dining Hall before heading out to explore Charleston.
11:00 a.m.–3:00 p.m. | Out on the Town
Spend the afternoon exploring the Lowcountry! Featured partners may include:

Meet President Keith Faulkner, a 1998 alum of Charleston Southern and the fourth president of his alma mater, in this casual event. Learn about the future plan for CSU and how CSU is ON THE RISE.
4:00 p.m. | Buccaneer Tailgate
Join the campus community for food, music, games, and Buccaneer spirit before kickoff.
6:00 p.m. | CSU Football Game
- Cheer on the Buccaneers as they take the field!
- Wear your “Family Weekend” t-shirt and enjoy an exciting evening of college football.

Yes. Families planning to attend Charleston Southern University’s Family Weekend should register in advance. Registration helps CSU prepare for families and ensures you receive important event information and updates.
