CSU is accredited by the  Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges  and is nationally accredited by the  Council for the Accreditation of Educator Preparation 

In 2015, the College of Education underwent an accreditation review by the National Council for the Accreditation of Teacher Education (NCATE) Programs.  The College of Education is scheduled for its next accreditation review in the Spring of 2023 by the Council for the Accreditation of Education Preparation (CAEP).
