The Wingate by Wyndham is an award-winning hotel that is conveniently located on campus of CSU and features 97 guest rooms and has several meeting spaces for small to medium groups. Currently, it serves as overflow for student housing on campus with rooms known as the Buccaneer Suites.

The Commuter Parking Lot is available for commuter and resident parking. Special event parking may be available.

The Science Parking Lot is available for commuter student parking. Special event parking may be available.

A three-story, 52,000 sq ft suite-style residence hall, set to open in August 2026. Located adjacent to Mead Hall with a shared courtyard, it will accommodate 216 students and include furnished double-occupancy suites (two bedrooms, one bathroom, and a shared living area). Amenities feature group study spaces on each floor, private study rooms on the third floor, a full kitchen on the third floor, a grab-and-go Galley on the first floor, and a fitness center on the second floor.

Mead Hall is a coed building, with female residents housed in the left wing and male residents housed in the right. The hall consists of two-person rooms within four-person suites with lofted furniture. Each suite includes a private study/lounge space and a bathroom with separate sink, toilet, and shower areas. The building offers a laundry room, shared kitchen, lounge, study rooms, and an elevator.

Mead Hall Parking Lot has parking available for resident students.

The Quads West Parking Lot is for resident students.

Home to CSU’s facilities and maintenance operations, the Facilities Services team supports campus infrastructure, grounds, and daily upkeep—helping ensure a safe, functional, and welcoming environment for students, faculty, staff, and visitors.

The building houses CSU’s undergraduate and graduate degree programs in healthcare, including the physician assistant program, public health, and the physical therapy program.

Derry Patterson Wingo Hall (DP Wingo) houses College of Nursing classrooms, an auditorium, labs, and faculty offices. Named for Derry Patterson Wingo. The building expansion to the east houses classrooms, computer, nursing, clinical and skills labs, conference rooms, faculty and student lounges, skills work rooms, simulation labs, debriefing rooms, a home health suite, and faculty offices.

The Nursing Parking Lot is available for commuter student parking. Special event parking may be available.

Gilmore Garden is a quiet, contemplative garden nestled between Norris Hall and Jones Hall. It offers students, faculty, staff, and visitors a peaceful retreat for prayer, reflection, and spiritual solitude. Surrounded by verdant landscaping and quaint pathways, it’s a cherished campus haven where memories and faith converge. Ideal for moments of pause, personal meditation, or small-group devotion in the heart of CSU.

Norris Hall houses classrooms for the humanities, computer labs, and faculty offices for the department of English. Named for Fred K. Norris Jr.

Wingo Hall houses classrooms for the humanities and education as well as faculty offices for the College of Education. Named for Henry C. Wingo. You can also find The Galley at Wingo as a quick dining option for students.

A greenhouse is located adjacent to the science building. The greenhouse contains more than 50 different varieties of orchids: both hybrids and species. There is also a bog garden with more than 30 different species of carnivorous plants.

A modern 28,000 sq ft hub for cybersecurity, engineering, and a fast-growing aeronautics program. Housing labs, offices, and workrooms for students and faculty, the building recently expanded in 2025 to include a dedicated second-floor wing featuring South Carolina’s only four-year aeronautics program, complete with flight simulators, classrooms, and specialized labs.

The building houses chemistry, biology and research labs, faculty offices, and classrooms.

A beloved CSU landmark and scenic gathering spot, the Reflection Pond is surrounded by tradition and campus memories. It’s a favorite place for photos, fellowship, and quiet moments in the heart of campus.

The Rivers Library provides traditional print and nonprint resources, reading rooms, study rooms and offices for library personnel. The lower level houses classrooms, faculty offices, and the graphic design studio. The library is a selective depository in the Federal Depository Library Program. On the first floor, the South Carolina Room houses items related to South Carolina’s history, literature, and the arts. The second floor of the library is home to The Hub, Charleston Southern’s Student Success Center! The library is named for L. Mendel Rivers.

Lightsey Chapel seats 1,500 and is a multipurpose facility equipped with a modern stage and support equipment. Lightsey Chapel is where weekly chapel services are held as well as performances by the Horton School of Music and Performing Arts. The Margaret Kelly Hamrick Prayer Room is located at the front of the building. The iconic chapel is amed for W. Norris and Nell Peeples Lightsey.

The music building, located behind and connected to Lightsey Chapel, houses faculty offices for the Horton School of Music and Performing Arts, music practice facilities, and the theatre program’s Black Box Theatre. Named for Nell Peeples Lightsey.

The Quads house male freshmen, transfers, and upperclassmen. Rooms are suite style with two rooms, hosting two residents in each room, connected by a bathroom. The Quads are located on the northwest side of campus and have parking on the east and west sides of the buildings. Each Quad has a laundry facility.

Located at the back of campus, the building houses studio spaces for design, drawing, painting, and printmaking classes.

The Hunter Center houses offices for enrollment, admissions, student financial services, the cashier’s office the Center for Global Engagement, and Global Charleston. The Center for Global Engagement is CSU’s hub for international student services and study abroad, celebrating cultural diversity on campus and supporting students in engaging with the world through global learning, programs, and community connections. Housed in the same office space is Global Charleston, which serves the rapidly expanding international community in the Charleston region. Named for Dr. Jairy and Sissy Hunter.

The Hunter Center Parking Lot is available for guests, faculty, and staff.

The Ashby-Jones Hall Parking Lot is available for Faculty and Staff parking. Limited guest parking is available.

Jones Hall houses administrative offices and the Nielsen College of Business. Named for Clif S. Jones.

Whitfield Center for Christian Leadership (WCCL)  includes classrooms and conference space, including the Drew Conference Center, which accommodates 200, and faculty offices for the College of Christian Studies and College of Humanities and Social Sciences. The Whitfield Center also holds the Center for Chaplaincy, which offers academic programming for students seeking to enter the chaplain ministry as well as training for current chaplains. Named for W. Floyd and Shirley Whitfield.

The Caf  is a modern dining space on the Student Center level of Charleston Southern University. This 18,000-square-foot facility offers an inviting environment with refreshed décor, streamlined entry, and enhanced food-service efficiency.

The building houses music classrooms, a rehearsal hall, music practice rooms, a music technology lab, and faculty offices. Named for Jeff and Bernice Whittington.

The Communications Center houses offices for BucMail and Student Wireless Network assistance. For help with campus wireless services, e-mail wireless@csuniv.edu.

Costin Plaza is a thoughtfully designed outdoor gathering area situated along Alumni Drive and serving as the functional entrance to the university’s intramural complex.

Named for CSU’s third president Dr. Dondi E. Costin and First Lady Vickey Costin, the plaza includes:

• Four fire pits with comfortable outdoor seating—perfect for relaxed conversations or chilly evenings.

• Permanent seating structures for everyday use.

• A grill and picnic area tailored for casual meals, barbecues, or student hangouts.

• A spacious porch, ideal for hosting small events or tailgates before intramural activities.

The plaza is accessible 24/7 to students, faculty, and staff. To use amenities like the fire pits and grill, visitors simply check in at the front desk of the Brewer Center during its operating hours.

The intramural field complex, with artificial turf and outdoor lighting, offers Charleston Southern University students the opportunity to play intramural sports in the evenings after class or on weekends. The marching band also uses the space to practice!

This large grass lot serves as overflow for various events on campus, and it serves as the future spot for the university’s convocation center.

The complex features a natural grass playing field and capacity for 500 spectators in grandstand seating. There is an expanded press area between the covered team benches.

Russell West houses upperclassman female residents. The residence hall consists of suites with wood furniture and lighter furniture. The facility includes one laundry room, study room, and computer lab. Russell West also houses the ROTC offices.

The grab-and-go retail locations, The Galley at Russell and The Galley at Wingo, allow students the option for quick and convenient access to everyday items. The locations serve both sides of campus, making it easily accessible for residents and commuters.

Russell East is a co-ed building. There are two full laundry rooms, and the building consists of suite-style rooms with a bathroom in between two rooms.

The Brewer Center Parking Lot is available for commuter, resident, faculty, and staff parking.

Located at the back of campus, the park includes a paved basketball court, a beach volleyball pit, Morley Pool (salt water!), pool house, and swings. Named for Patsy Morley.

The CSU Softball Complex is home to the Charleston Southern Buccaneers softball team. The complex includes two covered batting cages, a team facility and meeting room, coaches offices, and the CSU Softball Field. Located near the heart of campus, the natural grass field hosts several annual CSU softball tournaments, featuring elite competition from across the country. The 250-seat facility also features premium seating down the baselines, as well as grandstand seating behind home plate. Dimensions of the field are 215 feet from foul pole to foul pole.

Women’s South is a female-only residence hall that consists of freshmen and transfer women residents. Women’s South consists of standard stackable furniture with closet space on the first and second floor. The third floor furniture consists of wood furniture (nonadjustable beds) and lighter furniture (adjustable beds). This hall has one laundry room located on the third floor and all four person suites. Women’s South is close to residential parking and is located directly across from a few of our athletic facilities.

Littlejohn Parlor is located between Women’s North and South residence halls. Richard Littlejohn, a member of the founding Board of Trustees, provided funds to furnish the room in honor of his mother, Evelyn Louise Hicks Littlejohn, of Spartanburg, S.C. The parlor was dedicated in 1970 and features a portrait of Mrs. Littlejohn.

Women’s North is a female only residence hall that consists of upperclassman women residents. This hall has four person suites with wardrobes in each room. Women’s North consists of two updated laundry rooms on the first and third floors and is located close to residential parking.

The Women’s North Parking Lot is available for resident student parking.

The facility includes a wellness center, fitness studio, a multifunctional gym and a lounge area with ping-pong, pool and air hockey tables. Offices for campus recreation and student activities are housed in the Brewer Center. Named for Jimmie, Patricia and Brad Brewer.

The Singleton Baseball Complex houses a locker room, training room, the Sharonda Coleman-Singleton Enrichment Center, a memorial plaza recognizing outstanding baseball alumni and the Love is Stronger memorial dedicated to the victims, survivors and families of the Emanuel AME tragedy. Named for Sharonda Coleman-Singleton.

Named for Gary Clark Banks Sr., the Banks Tennis Center is home to the Charleston Southern Buccaneers tennis team. Situated in the back part of campus next to CSU Ballpark, the eight-court facility is home to the five-time Big South regular season champions and is one of the toughest facilities in the nation for a visiting team to pick up a win.

The Field House Parking Lot is available for guests, residents, commuters, faculty, and staff parking. Special event parking may be available for basketball, baseball, and tennis matches.

Located next to the Field House, the lab houses the master of athletic training program and office space for athletic training faculty.

The building serves as a classroom for kinesiology courses and labs and also the office of the program director for physical education.

The Field House contains the basketball arena, athletic training facilities, classrooms and athletic department offices. The Field House Athletic Training Center services the baseball, men’s and women’s basketball, soccer, softball, volleyball, tennis, men’s and women’s golf and cheerleading programs.

The facility is adjacent to the Field House and houses the Angie and Sam Kelly Strength and Conditioning Center, a nutrition center, space for football meetings and office facilities.

The Athletic Center Parking Lot is available for faculty and staff parking. Special event parking may be available.

The Athletic Center has locker rooms for the football and track and field teams and an athletic training space. The football and men’s & women’s track & field/cross country teams utilize the athletic training facility.

The Whitfield Stadium Parking Lot is available for athletic events.

Buccaneer Plaza is the entryway to the Whitfield Stadium Center and ticket booths. The Whitfield Stadium Center provides broadcast areas for the media, pregame and halftime social gathering rooms, a concession sales area, and restroom facilities. Named for W. Floyd and Shirley Whitfield.

Home of Men’s and Women’s Track and Field, Bagwell-Settle Track was named for longtime athletic personnel and CSU Hall of Fame members, Howard Bagwell Sr. and James C. Settle.

Home of CSU Buccaneers football, Buccaneer Field and Whitfield Stadium offer an exciting game-day atmosphere with seating for thousands of fans. Located near the heart of campus, Buccaneer Field hosts NCAA Division I athletic events, community gatherings, and spirited student activities throughout the year.
