2019 college tuition giveaway contest opens

By CSU Media | May 13, 2019

Charleston Southern University is once again partnering with HIS Radio to offer one year of college tuition plus room and board at CSU to one deserving student. The 2019 contest is open until May 27 and is valid for a prospective student pursuing traditional or online undergraduate studies.

Last year, the university gave a full year of college tuition to Ashley Shaw of Anderson, South Carolina, in its first contest. “Thank you for this opportunity to be able to jump start my career and my education and to better my family,” she said, after learning that she won the 2018 contest. Shaw is a young wife and mother of three, two of which have special needs. She plans to be a social worker upon completing her degree.

Friends and family members are encouraged to nominate individuals for the giveaway who exhibit qualities of good citizenship, community involvement and Christian leadership. The nominee must be at least a rising high school junior and a new CSU student.

The winner will be announced on Friday, May 31. For additional contest rules or to nominate a deserving student, click here

Contest closed on May 27, 2019.
