Equipped to Flourish in Your Calling

Campus Ministries focuses on exposing CSU students to the Gospel of Jesus Christ and equipping them to grow and flourish in their calling. The campus ministries staff seeks to create a discipleship culture that raises a generation to live for His name. Our mission is for Jesus Christ to be glorified by having lives transformed through teaching, discipleship, and immersion (life on mission).

Teaching, discipleship, and immersion are essential to fulfilling the Great Commission of Matthew 28:19-20. Each student has the opportunity to be taught the Word of God, discipled in their personal lives, and immersed into a life on the mission of proclaiming Christ’s name to the lost.

Elevate

Campus Ministries prioritizes elevating Jesus Christ above all else. Elevate is a student-led worship gathering that meets every Thursday during the academic year at 8 p.m. in Lightsey Chapel Auditorium. This is a beautiful time where CSU students unite in elevating our Savior and growing together as the body of Christ. When you come to Elevate, you can expect to hear a Spirit-given word, have time to pray with other believers, and be led in worship by the Elevate Band. This is a time to come as you are and find rest and renewal in the presence of Jesus Christ.

Small Groups

We believe small groups are the backbone of spiritual growth. Small groups are an opportunity for students to gather and study God’s word with the goal of becoming a disciple of Christ and creating discipleship relationships that will be cultivated in and outside of weekly small group gatherings. Small group leaders are prayerfully and discerningly chosen and have a strong passion and calling to shepherd you in your walk with Christ.

Find a small group that is right for you and your schedule by emailing campusministries@csuniv.edu to get a list of available small groups.

Leadership Opportunities

Preparing students for leadership is a part of our vision. There are several conferences and resources that we provide for student leaders in our effort to prepare them for the present and the future.

The Passion Conference is an annual gathering of students and young people united in worship, prayer and justice for spiritual awakening. Since 2007, students at Passion have generously given to 70 partner organizations worldwide. Learn more at passionconferences.com.

Growing Leaders is a global nonprofit that encourages and equips young adults to take on real-life opportunities and challenges in the classroom, in their careers, and in the community.

Along with CSU, they teach practical life and leadership skills using real stories, intriguing images, and engaging experiences that are relatable and memorable.
