Academic Advising is the ongoing educational process that connects you to Charleston Southern University and makes sure you are on track to graduate. You will be assigned to a faculty member who will be your academic advisor to interpret university policies and procedures for you. Your faculty advisor will help you navigate CSU’s academic and organizational pathways.

Your faculty advisor will assist you with the course scheduling and academic planning necessary to fulfill the requirements of your degree program. Your faculty advisor will also direct you to resources that enable sound career and personal choices. Advising begins in your freshman year with the Freshman Seminar, a 1-hour course based on your major that will help orient you to the CSU experience. Following the first semester of your freshman year, you will be assigned a permanent advisor in your major field of study.

Current Students can log into MyCSU to access information for advising, find your advisor, declare your major, search for classes, register for classes, course guides and make appointments with an advisor.
