Summer is a great opportunity to stay on track or get ahead for the upcoming school year. If you’re planning to attend CSU this summer, you may be eligible for financial aid to support your academic goals. Carefully, review information for summer eligibility, what types of aid are available, and how to apply!


Summer Aid Eligibility Requirements:

  • Ensure the 24-2025 FAFSA is on file. CSU Federal School Code (003419).
  • Must be enrolled for Summer courses:
    • Half-time enrollment for Undergraduate students: 6 credit hours*.
    • Half-time enrollment for Graduate students: 3 credit hours**.
  • Must have Pell and/or Federal Student Loan eligibility after the Spring semester ends.
  • Meet Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP)

* Number of credit hours needed to receive undergraduate student loans, if you have not reached the federal annual limit.
** Number of credit hours needed to receive graduate student loans, if you have not reached the federal annual limit.

Annual Federal Loan Limits

Students are responsible for monitoring their federal loan history on StudentAid.gov, including Direct Loans, Parent PLUS, and Grad PLUS loans. Private loans are not listed on this site. To learn more information about annual loan and total loan limits, click here.
