Learn more about YOU
Self-assessment is a process by which you learn more about yourself: what you like, what interests you, and how you tend to react to certain situations. Knowing these things can help you identify career direction and determine what occupations might fit you better than others. The assessments listed below are frequently used in our office as an initial step in the career planning process. We recommend scheduling an appointment with a counselor to help interpret your assessment results.
Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI)
The purpose of the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) personality inventory is to make the theory of psychological types described by C. G. Jung understandable and useful in peoples lives. The essence of the theory is that much seemingly random variation in the behavior is actually quite orderly and consistent, being due to basic differences in the ways individuals prefer to use their perception and judgment. Current students who would like to take this assessment can do so by contacting the Career Center.
